updateUrl() Search Criteria javascript triggers errors

On each xhtml page that have filter feature with the script updateUrl, 2 errors can be triggered :

1. In console browser, javascript error "Event.observer is not a function...."
2. On Firefox, the script trigger an http GET, without credentials, and fire a NotLoggedInException on server side.
