This is a feature request that is a "nice to have".

There are times when we write a test A that tests the baseline functions in a profile. There might be an option that would lead us to write test B. In order to actually test the option in B, you have to repeat the steps in test A. It would be nice if users could run test B and automatically get credit for A.

      1) Yes, a monitor could do this for the users by creating test A and filling in the details. That is a workaround that is error prone.
      2) One might have to think about reporting statistics. When we claim that we ran 500 tests yesterday, that number might be inflated by this. The engineers will care; the marketing folks will not.
      3) My statement of the problem may assume a solution (users get credit for running both tests). There might be another solution. The goal is to make it easier for participants in the case when a test B is a superset of another test A and the users are required to run A but may choose to run B.
