      Description

The REM-NM supplement added new requirements to RAD-5 to add return keys. This requirement is documented in Table 4.5-3 in the REM-NM Supplement http://www.ihe.net/uploadedFiles/Documents/Radiology/IHE_RAD_Suppl_REM-NM.pdf

There are several updates that would be very nice, especially since the vendor DSS/OF may not have this capability immediately.

They are listed in priority order here (ie benefits to REM-NM testing):

The Order Manager as a MWL SCP would return values for these attributes if the SCU includes them as return keys in the query:

      (1) Admitting Diagnosis Code Sequence (0008,1084) - the value set is described in issue OM-311
      (2) Admitting Diagnosis (0008,1080) - the value set would be taken from the displayName in the codes for
      (3) Patient's Age (0010,1010)
      (4) Patient Size (0010,1020)

Longer term, it would be nice to create value sets for these and add them into Order Manager for both HL7 & MWL:
      (5) Reason for Requested Procedure (OBR:31) and (0040,1002)
      (6) Reason for Requested Procedure Code Sequence (OBR:31), (0040,100A)
